What makes a good leader? Heavy Chef will be exploring this vital question with two of South Africa’s most formidable leaders. On the 22 July 2026, Heavy Chef CEO, Fred Roed, will interview Matt Putman, CEO and cofounder of iKhokha, and Rachel Bukasa, the National Director of legendary organisation Black Sash, on stage in Durban. We will be asking the most difficult questions posing South Africans today. Why are we getting it so wrong in so many places? Where can we find good leaders today? How can we foster a new generation of good leaders? And, importantly, where are we getting it right?
